Banner Blitz

I made this banner for my grandson Elvis.  He loves the beach so used that as the theme.  The banner pieces and alphabet are from Cricut Country Life cartridge.  The outside/inside banners are approx 8.5x11 and 6.5x9.  I had to unlock the ratio to make them wide enough.  The letters are approx 5.75".

Hope you enjoy!

Vintage Baby

Well, I'm on a vintage kick...I've been eye-balling the Ranger Ink and Tim Holtz products and finally bought some.  I got Tim Holtz's new book "A Compendium of Curiosities" and it has a bunch of great techniques in it that I used as inspiration.  This layout uses already distressed paper from K&G Company, and cocoa background cardstock.  I cut a Sizzix flourish in liliac mist, edged it in spring iris, and smeared some diamond stickles around.  The CTMH white daisy flowers are sprayed with Tsukinek walnut ink in eucalyptus and terra cotta then embellished with diamond stickles, chocolate brads and miscellaneous doo-dads.  The lace is from Walmart and inked up with spring iris. The colonial white edge anchor is distressed with expresso acrylic paint dauber from Ranger Ink.

The photo was edited in Photoshot Elements.  The picture is in black & white with just the pink ribbon in color.  I've always wanted to try this and finally found a photo it worked with.

And the most important feature of this layout is my 3 month old granddaughter!

Hope you enjoy!

Partridge in a Pear Tree

Happy Holidays!  I had a lot of fun making this card.  A pre-printed card base from CTMH was used that I bought a million years ago.  The birds were cut from the Winter Frolic cricut cartridge using Garden Green and a generic blue very similar to Heavenly Blue.  I used gold stickles for the eyes and feathers.  Inside the card is stamped "Merry Christmas" in Twilight ink and is from CTMH's No Peeking stamp set.

Thankful, Part 3

This layout goes with the Thankful layout from 11/14/10.  It follows a template challenge from Frosted Designs. I was unable to submit it in time for the deadline but I've finally found the time to get it scanned and posted (I had to take a day of work to do it!).  The layout uses CTMH's Olivia paper pack and stickers.  Oh, and it's not your eyes, the pictures are blurry...

Hope you enjoy!

Get Well Soon

This get well card is for a coworker who has been out sick recently.  It was made with the CTMH Expedition paper pack, Rustic Flowers stamp set, and Say It In Style stamp set.  I copied the layout from MOJO Monday 166 and will also submit it in the Fabulous Friday Challenge which required some distressing (I distressed the flowers).  The following CTMH stamp sets were used:  Rustic Flowers and Say It In Style.

Hope you enjoy!

Happy Retirement

One of my co-workers is retiring and I made this cute little card for her.  I am submitting it in the MOJO Monday 165 and Case Study #15 challenges. I used the CTMH Silhouette paper pack, inked up some white daisy flowers, and stamped the saying from CTMH Curly Sentiments stamp set.  The flourish is from CTMH Doodle Alphabet stamp set.

Hope you enjoy!

Thankful!

This layout was made for Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesday challenge (SATC), as well as, the Fabulous Friday challenge (FFC).  I had a lot of fun with this because I love the pictures.  My nephew and I ran in the annual Veteran's Day Midpoint Madness 5k.  My husband, daughter, granddaughter, and my mom (who is not shown because she is behind the camera, thank you mom!) were there to cheer us on.  I am so thankful to have my family support me in my two favorite hobbies running and crafting.  My husband has attended all (but one) of my races, but this was the first time for the rest of my family.  It made reaching the finish line that much sweeter!

Back to the crafty stuff...the layout followed the SATC sketch and used the word "Thankful" which was required of the FFC.  The paper pack and stickers are from CTMH's Olivia kit.

Hope you enjoy!

Case Study Challenge #14

This card was made for the Case Study Challenge #14.  I used CTMH's floral tapestry paper pack, sparkles, and holiday red organdy ribbon.  The stamps sets used were Share the Magic and Oh Christmas Tree.   The tree was stamped with silver embossing powder, which gives it a nice sparkly look, and then cut out.  The garland and ornaments were colored in with a tulip marker. The stars and "believe" were stamped with star spangled blue ink.

Hope you enjoy!
